MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology or Related Field.

1 year enterprise applications technical support and application development.

Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review)

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Coordinates and assists in providing technical leadership within AMI team members.

Knowledge of J2EE or equivalent applications development standards.

Ability to plan, implement, test, troubleshoot system software errors and issues.

Designs, develops and implements meter management activity systems.

Guides application implementation towards successful project implementation.

Performs system management support and technical functions for AMI enterprise applications.

Maintains and monitors enterprise system performance using diagnostics and management software. Compiles statistics for performance benchmarks.

Communicates issues and advice to business unites responsible for troubleshooting devices in the field.

Communicates with service and maintenance entities to determine the cause of system equipment failure and applies repairs and fixes.

Maintains system documentation, procedures and software inventories.

Assists with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of AMI enterprise systems.

Assists in performing daily monitoring of metering communication levels ensuring that all meters are communicating with the collection devices and the AMI landscapes.

Ensures system high availability and all functions related AMI.

Trains and transfers knowledge to AMI Team.

Analyzes and resolves work problems.  

Ensures compliance of applicable safety principles, codes, rules, regulations, laws, values and strategies.

Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative reports; performs information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.

Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.

Performs other duties as assigned.
