MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED.

6-12 months experience in automotive/mechanical repairs.

Requires indenturement into the Apprenticeship Program within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Valid Driver's License, CDL Learner's Permit or CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review). Learners permit is to be validated to a CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement within (6) months from date of employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Assist in cleaning, repairing and performing Preventive Maintenance on company vehicles and equipment, to include shop equipment/tools as required.

Vehicle/Heavy Equipment tire repair/replacement, includes balancing wheel assemblies.

Maintain a clean/safe work environment and practice safe work habits. Conduct safety inspections on vehicles, equipment, and shop area. Adhere to company Safety Policies.

Performs Standby Duty and Security Duty as scheduled. Requiring overtime as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Utilize company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner while abiding to applicable State and Local laws as well as company policies, procedures and standards.

Provide customer service including communicating effectively verbally and in writing information regarding vehicle/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations and repair processes. To include updating and closing work orders in a timely manner.
