High school Diploma or GED Certificate.
0-6 months experience in water/wastewater construction/operations.
Requires a Valid Driver's License, CDL Learner's Permit or CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle review).  Learners permit is to be validated to CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement within (6) months from date of employment.
Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program is required in accordance with standards.
Assists in the operation and routine maintenance on the water distribution systems.
Assists districts in resolving customer complaints.
Assists in maintenance of the wastewater facilities.
Assists in maintaining water and wastewater logs.
Assists in performing chlorine, fluoride and other field tests in accordance with established procedures.
Assists in the construction of new water and wastewater lines.
Assists in collection of water and wastewater samples.
Assists in emergency repairs on water and wastewater systems.
Prepares reports and makes calculations in accordance with established procedures.
Assists with installation, removal and change out of meters.
Assists in setting and pulling both deep well turbines and/or submersible pumps.
Performing other duties as assigned or requested
