High School Diploma or GED Certificate

Vocational/Specialized Training in Accounting

1 - 2 Years of experience in accounting.

1 - 2 Years of experience in clerical work.

1 - 2 Years of experience in computer systems.

1 - 2 Years of experience in customer relations.

1 - 2 Years of experience in public relations.

Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Navajo speaking is required

Valid Driver's License required (subject to motor vehicle record review)


Loads/unloads routes for hand held meter reading devices and generates and reviews all pertinent reports.

Enters and retrieves data in mainframes and personal computers with proficiency and accuracy.

Processes accurate detail adjustments and source documents.

Processes various documents and reports, records data and files.

Documents and follows-up on billing inquiries, complaints, and maintains customer files.

Prepares customers statements, bills and invoices.

Balances figures, computes totals, and performs mathematic calculations.

Acts as a liaison between customers and the Authority.

Assigns billing codes and rate with accuracy to establish customer accounts.

Organizes work load to ensure production deadlines are met.

Greets all customers promptly and courteously.

Assists computer users with problems relating to software and hardware.

Maintains utility meter inventory.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
