High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Natural Gas Engineering or Related Field

7 years' natural gas distribution/transmission construction and operations experience

5 years' supervisory capacity

Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred

Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).


Improves staff effectiveness by counseling, training and recommending corrective action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.

Oversees the management of personnel, which includes work allocation, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

Develops measurable performance expectations for assigned staff according to department goals and objectives.

Establishes, implements and communicates goals, objectives, policies and procedures in accordance with strategic plan and applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and regulatory agencies.

Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication between personnel and program related activities.

Directs the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon goals and growth objectives concerning Natural Gas.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing and administering annual budget; presenting and justifying budget recommendations to appropriate personnel.

Assists in developing corporate objectives and plans for their achievement, including rate of return, rate of interest in sales and product line objectives, and develops a conducts continuing reviews thereof.

Ensures that all company Natural Gas activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations, through direct or delegated contacts with respective individuals or groups.

Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative reports; performs information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by: conducting research; attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; and conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
